Tune your Mind to the Positive, the Second Principle of Power Living®, has to do with tuning your mental energy to create positive manifestations, achieve focus and spur inspiration. In the Power Living® Practice, we share various ways to do this, from meditation and breathing techniques to strategic eating and productivity planning. Another part of the practice involves feeding your mind through fundamental reading - the study of truth-seeking writings, from ancient, sacred texts to modern philosophies. With DVD and CD technology, this now also includes what we're calling, "Positive Media."

I love watching movies and even worked in film development at Universal Studios. I'll still go out and catch the latest popular film with my nephew. However, when I'm at home I tend to focus on content that offers historical knowledge or a new thought-provoking perspective. In addition to the books on the fundamental reading list, there are some media which make the cut in terms of supporting The Power Living® Practice. Our intention is to showcase them here. Instead of watching a re-run of a TV show, pop in some Positive Media to enrich your mind.

Joseph Campbell Mythos 1 (1996) & 2 (1997)
If you are on a spiritual path and are interested in the similarities between all world religions, then you must become familiar with Joseph Campbell. Campbell's life's work was to explain the material of myth and the "one great story" of humanity. His work not only influenced the dialogue on religion, but also the arts. For example, George Lucas used his book "The Hero With A Thousand Faces" to write Star Wars. As seen on PBS, these lectures were filmed right before Campbell passed. From the myths of the American Indians to Tibetan Buddhism, he skillfully shows the themes that connect us all. It is a long series, but worth the time. If you want a briefer overview on Joseph Campbell himself, view "The Hero's Journey" DVD which is a biographical portrait. His perspective on life offers a gateway toward personal transformation.
