As Charles Evans Hughes said, “When we lose the right to be different, we lose the privilege to be free.”

How fully are you expressing your freedom? In the futuristic movie Divergent, the society is divided into five factions based on virtues including selflessness, intelligence, peacefulness, honesty and bravery. At 16, children are given a serum-induced psychological test which recommends a group. Then, at the Choosing Ceremony, they decide on their permanent faction. Those who think independently, not fitting into one particular track, are considered threats to the existing social order because they cannot be controlled. In reality, we are each meant to be divergent. Out of 7 billion people on this earth, there is no one with your exact thoughts, traits and talents. Our individuality should be celebrated, but in some places those who do not conform are persecuted. Claim your freedom by expressing your true Self. Spend time discovering what is in your heart and embrace your uniqueness. Honor your rights by sharing your truth and being authentic. Choose to use all of your gifts and show up fully. Paving your own path is the ultimate freedom.

Until next time, remember – it’s your divine life, live it to the fullest. The power is in your hands!

With Purpose & Power,

Terri
